I marvel at the daylight lingering at this late hour. The sunset scatters into the gray June clouds, reminding me that summer is here, even if the breezy rain tries to deceive me, and even if I’m unprepared for another turn of the seasons. Time progression feels amnesiac lately, lost somewhere in a slurry of obligations and work emails; of post-covid milestones earned and spent in a blink. Prolonged daylight beckons for more, as if time is more abundant now alleviated from winter’s darkness, and as if there’s more than ever to savor. Night is quickly falling and time feels all the more precious. These long days come-and-go so quickly, but at least tomorrow I can savor another one.
