AUTUMN RUN

I quite enjoy the view from the bridges I run on. The Port glimmers in the distance, and the rustling tree branches dampen the hum of traffic. My lungs filled with cool air as I climbed the elevation on my newly established route. I thought of all the cities I’ve run in; the landmarks that defined my paths. The park in Northern Michigan with the graffiti tree. The lap around the quiet lake just outside of Copenhagen. It’s finally autumn–the first of many seasons I will experience here. In time, this vista will change with new hues and luminosity. And in time, so will I.
