BUILDING MY NEST

Since moving in, I have had a never-ending to-do list of projects and housework. The fair warning I got from others was right—I don’t believe one is ever “finished” with housework, and such is the detriment to being a homeowner. It takes up your time, your energy, and your money.

This past month, I’ve focused mostly on nesting and getting furniture. I have enjoyed finding my style and being able to make the changes I can to make this place feel like mine. I also may have developed a hobby of looking at furniture and used/salvaged stores for unique finds.

Many of you have been asking for more photos, and while I have much more work to do and more furniture to buy, here are a couple of glimpses into my house, and some of the changes I have made.

Updated dining room lighting with salvaged mid century light fixtures salvaged from the Tacoma Masonic Temple
Updated bathroom details for a more classic look

  1. Hiii Kevbb – can you come decorate my future home for me? Or become Bobby’s second hand man on Queer Eye (he does the best interior makeovers) hehe.
